King of the Bill (Link)
King of the Bill is the top site currently on my list, mostly because it is generating the most buzz and interest. Site creator Andrew Fischer has turned the old ladder advertising theme into something worth watching, which is an accomplishment in itself. Ladder advertising for those who do not know, basically to be the main ad you need to trump the one before. On King of the Bill to obtain the top spot, you must pay a dollar more than the previous ad. Fischer, with great graphic design and programing skills has turned this into an event in which, you definitely want to watch to see who will match the bid and become the top ad. Like all sites, it is only worth it if people are seeing your ad and clicking, and King of the Bill has a few decently traveled forums taking part, where the top ad is displayed.
To currently win the top bid, it is 80 dollars, and how long will you be the King of the Bill is unknown, which adds a bit to the excitement. Alexa wise, KingoftheBill.com is at 58,814 and for the week 19,312. Is it worth it, it’s hard to say. If King of the Bill can keep up the buzz for a few weeks, then getting in somewhere on the ladder while it’s still reasonable is a good idea. If people lose interest and the site cools, it could be a waste of money. I’d say it has a few more weeks left in it at least, so getting in right now may be a good idea. We will keep an eye on it.

Hi,
Thanks for reviewing my site. Nice niche site you have here! Keep up the good work! Just thought I’d give you an update on the world of the KOTB.
I’ve just released the official King of the Bill script at http://www.kingofthescript.com. Now anybody can start their own King of the Bill type advertising extravaganza with this script. Check it out and see what you think!
Oh, and don’t forget to give it a test drive. You can add your link for free by using the discount code “FREE”.

Thanks for the update Andrew, the site was going crazy for a while there. Anyway how much customization is there in your script. I like your site, but the last thing we need is a 100 clones looking exactly the same.

Yes the script is completely template driven, so very customizable. In other news, KOTB has exploded lately and the $100 spot was just sold recently!
